Supreme Court Decision Confirming Results of the Presidential Election in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

The United States is deeply disappointed by the Democratic Republic of the Congo Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the electoral commission’s provisional results without fully evaluating widespread reports of irregularities.
We believe that the management and technical execution of these elections were seriously flawed, lacked transparency and did not measure up to the democratic gains we have seen in recent African elections. However, it is still not clear whether the irregularities were sufficient to change the outcome of the election.
We believe that a review of the electoral process by the Congolese authorities and outside experts may shed additional light on the cause of the irregularities, identify ways to provide more credible results, and offer guidance for the ongoing election results and for future elections. We strongly urge all Congolese political leaders and their supporters to act responsibly, renounce violence, and resolve any disagreements through peaceful, constructive dialogue.
We have called on Congolese authorities to investigate and prevent election related human rights violations and we urge security forces to show restraint in maintaining order. The United States continues to offer our assistance and we stand with the Congolese people in their quest for greater peace and democracy at home and throughout the region.

J’ai la foi que le President Etienne Tshisekedi vient de preter son serment il y a de cela un jour. Personnellement je reste convaincu que s’annonce maintenant le debut de notre combat patriotique pour l’installation d’un Etat de droit. Alors que le serment prete’, vient le debut de la continuite’ des hostilite’s de la part des forces predatrices loyales au Josephisme pour chercher a’ tout boulverser et ou mettre mal a’ l’aise l’homme du peuple elu. Cela dit, j’aurai voulu que nous puissions nous mobiliser de plus en plus pour montrer la face du monde que notre choix est valide. Si nous essayons de nous distraire, nos adversaires pourraient en profiter. Multiplions les marches de soutien partout au monde comme on a debute’ jusqu’a ce que chaque chose se materialise comme il se doit.

Hillary Clinton the US is not well placed to teach others the Democracy lesson. Her Country had similar situation remember Dole and Bush Election. You responsability in Irak, Palestine, Lybia and other country put your credibility and honesty is in serious doubt.

Les Etats-Unis ne font qu’endormir le peuple Congolais par ses propos fantaisistes.Comment expliquer qu’ils aient eu le rapport des irregularite’s massives par le biais des temoins venus de chez-eux et qui ont mis en cause les resultats precipitemment rendus publics par le president de la CENI. Jusqu’a l’heure comment se montrent-ils toujours indifferents et pourtant les morts se comptent a grand nombre? Combien attendent-ils voir tomber sous les balles des forces Josephites pour agir?
En outre, il n’est pas bon de dormir dans cette affaire du pays sinon il faut que les gens soient vigilants et lutter pour notre cause. S’il faudra user de…il faudra. Sinon deloger un dictateur, il faut des fameuses strategies. Marches, mobilisation de toute sorte oui, mais il faudra penser aux prochaines strategies si les choses vont se compliquer davantage.Tenons bon pour nous debarrasser des agresseurs et usurpateurs et confiscateurs du pouvoir du peuple.
